Our Reservation Policy

Monopole accepts limited bookings. We book up to half of the restaurant and leave the rest for walk ins.

For bookings of 5 or more we require credit card details to secure the reservation. If you fail to arrive for your booking or cancel less than 48 hours prior to your reservation a cancellation fee may apply.

Groups of 7 or more are required to select our $70 set 'Monopole' menu.

For tables booked at 6:00 or 6:30 pm we will require the table back by 8:15pm.

Monopole + Embla Collaboration

Join us as we host award winning Melbourne restaurant EMBLA for an evening of collaborative food & wine, Sunday 15th October.

In 2016, Embla took out Timeout Melbourne’s ‘Best New Restaurant’ and ‘Best Casual Dining Restaurant’ awards. Sitting pretty at #6 on the AFR Top 100 Restaurants list, The Australian likened their chefs to “bushrangers at work in the kitchen”. New Zealand Executive Chef Dave Verheul has travelled the world and back, through the swinging doors of The Savoy Grill, The Fat Duck, The Bentley and the Matterhorn, honing his classic training in the process.

We can’t wait to see what their collaboration with Monopole’s Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt will produce. Five sharing courses + snacks $120 – Book Now as places are limited.

Great news to share with our Co-owner Brent Savage winning the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2015 ‘Chef of the Year’. Congratulations Captain! Monopole was also awarded 1 Chefs Hat at the awards night on September 1. Very happy.

Monopole’s Co-Owner & Sommelier Nick Hildebrandt was awarded the ‘Sommelier of the Year’ gong at the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards on August 20, 2014. This is Nick’s third Sommelier Award. He has won it twice at the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards, and now this fantastic national recognition from the Australian Gourmet Traveller. Monopole has landed! Residents of Potts Point have patiently awaited our arrival, occassionally popping in during the renovations to say hello and tell us how excited they are that we’re joining the area. We’re so pleased to be here and can’t wait to shower you with culinary delights.

‘Bentley: Contemporary Cuisine’ the book
